Personal
The story behind these buttons may not mean much to non-Atlantans. But the point is that I wanted a way to celebrate the 2008 candidacy of Barack Obama. So I made some buttons and took them to Manuel’s Tavern, where hundreds of Democrats traditionally converge on election nights, and passed them around. Win or lose, we would all be on the same team that night. Luckily, our candidate became President.
