In conjunction with Good Thinking Atlanta
Designing and constructing the Southeast’s first Living Building was no small task. Neither was giving it a voice.
Our team thoughtfully placed the principles and requirements of the Living Building Challenge within the culture and identity of Georgia Tech to create a voice for this exceptional structure. With careful intention, we looked at brand and identity, including a set of icons unique to the project, and meshed the building’s brand seamlessly with Georgia Tech’s strict brand guidelines.
We imagined all aspects of the building’s connection to the greater community, both within Atlanta and across the Southeast, including interior environmental elements.
We built a visual language by which to present complex building systems data, knowing that all walks of the community would interact with it, and presented ideas and guidelines for how to bring the building’s unique identity into the existing Georgia Tech website.
The Kendeda Building is a multi-faceted and inter-disciplinary hub of what a sustainable Southeast can become.
